Flare (yes, that’s how we are spelling it) is our gose that we have added citrus fruit to. This beer is slightly tart, a little salty, and has a nice balance from the fruit and spices. Ale brewed with orange and coriander.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Pours yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of sour fruits, tartness and berries. Taste is sour, funky and tartish with some berries. Finish is sourish and earthy with some funky notes. Quite sour for a gose.

Draft @ Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity sour tart orange aroma. Fruity sour tart weak salty orange flavor. Has a fruity sour tart finish.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, oranges, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of salt, malt, lemons, straw, spices, and oranges, leading to a tart finish.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is smooth fruity. Crisp fruity, citric and smooth fruity. Mellow and slight citric finish. Smooth fruity and slight citric finish.

Bottle at Imazato. Tart, lactic nose with lemon. Cloudy gold with a high head. Great fruit flavor, lactic acid, lemon, salt. Very smooth, with high but light carbonation. Great refresher.

Bottle at craig’s. Pours pale golden, nose is citrus, salty, toffee, taste is quite sour, salty, coriander, dry finish.

Briney lemon nose. Hazy amber, thick head. Lemon and vinegar, lime underneath. Medium body, easy carbonation. Enjoyable, but not one of better representations of the style.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze, no head whatsoever. Very tart aroma, vinegary. Light in body, extremely sour with a lemony edge. I find it extremely hard to drink, and sour above what is pleasant. 070416
