Flare (yes, that’s how we are spelling it) is our gose that we have added citrus fruit to. This beer is slightly tart, a little salty, and has a nice balance from the fruit and spices. Ale brewed with orange and coriander.

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a slightly hazy golden color with a huge foamy white head that faded fairly quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was lactic, tart, sour and lemony. The flavor was tart and sour, citric and a bit lactic and salty. Long tart citric finish. Medium body. Solid.

Hazy golden color. No head. Salty fruity nose that is a bit briny. Fruity mouth low hops salty, almost white wine-ish. Good carbonation. Definitely not traditional but pretty damn good.

Bottle shared walking around Kamakura. Hazy, glowing yellow with nice champagne like carbonation. Very spritzy. Nose is wild strawberries, gooseberry, lemon zest and orange. Very light on the palate and wonderfully refreshing. Good tartness. Finishes slightly dry, but with lots of young berry-like tartness that lingers.

Poured into a teku showing moderate to high filtration of bright honey with two fingers of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of round malts with a hint of tartness. The palate is highly carbonated and foamy, hard to say the body. Completely dry but moderately intense notes of ripe sweet apricot in between corn flavors from the malts. A slight tartness throughout with a strong citric edge. Very slight spiciness left on the linger.

500 ml bottle purchased at Lukas Liquor Superstore in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a huge foamy white head. The 4 inch head falls rockily. The aroma is citrus, tart, big salt and soft orange fruit in the back. The taste is a soft natural wheat, bright tartness, salt along with the soft orange citrus blended in. Nice integration. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and the salt tart finish.
