What’s a “Betsubara”, you ask?

Well, we’ve all got one! It’s a cute Japanese term that loosely translates as “a second stomach for dessert”.

And that’s just what you’ll need for our latest dessert stout.

To start with, we’ve taken a rich imperial pastry stout base, and double mashed it to achieve huge complexity and full on malt flavour - aided with a blend of dark sugars to build that sweet profile.

Next, we’ve loaded our tank to the brim with flaked and desiccated coconut (over 35kg of it, in fact), and aged this chocolatey imperial pastry stout on it until the beer is absolutely *dripping* in sweet coconut flavour 💅

And finally? We’ve only gone and infused it with a whole heap (that’s a technical term) of Madagascar vanilla to add smooth creaminess to all this.

Betsubara isn’t just a name, it’s a promise - you’re always going to have room left for this.
