Nice dark roast and chocolate notes. Jet black with a nice light brown head. Dark roast, cocoa and some light bitterness with a dry finish.

(Tap sample @ the brewery, Jan 21/18) Pours black with a decent, stable dark tan head and lace. Notes of roasted to burnt malt with caramel and molasses, cacao, toasty coffee, lightly fruity, some dusty ashy quality, moderately sweet at the core but moderately bitter thanks to the roast, trailing off into quite a bitter coffee/cacao finish with more burnt notes. Medium plus body with below average carbonation. Pretty nice, no bells and whistles but there is enough sweetness in the malt to offset the aggressive roast and balance out the package. Good 'table stout' if you will.

Draft at the source. Black color brown head. Burnt espresso aroma. Taste is burnt fruity coffee poured over burnt brownies. Very tasty
