We first released this beer 18 months ago and since then it has became one of our most sought after beers! This years release is just as delicious. Aged in bourbon barrels for a mix of 1 and 2 years. Finished on a ridiculous amount of Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Toasted/Raw Coconut. 15.5% , Still tastes like a waffle cone filled with bourbon soaked German chocolate cake, then drizzled with burnt caramel.

batch2, 2021 version. "Imperial Stout" Tasted oct 11, 2025
dkk 540 in kihoskh.
initial aroma of dark caramel, then after that, coconut and dark chocolate, dark tofffe, chocolate dessert. a bit too much dark caramel and chocolate dessert for my preferences.
pours thick and black, settles with a dark brown head that soon fizzles out.
flavor is quite sweet, vanilla, toblerone chocolate bar, lingering dark caramelly flavor in the background, as well as barrel notes, bourbon, slightly smoked notes. i think the vanilla and the coconut sort of drowns out the roasted malts and the notes from the wood, making the beer just overly sweet and a bit unbalanced. also the dark caramelly note doesn't really fit well in - i would have preferred a roasted malty note instead.
very sweet one. complex if you take away a few layers.

Thick, sweet, boozy, syrupy. Dark chocolate, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, rich and smooth, lovely. Just lovely.

Doesn't feel as defining or revolutionary as the OG, has some hints of this year's base from others released recently OR that's my imagination, either way it's still a stacked coconut boozy delicious thang.
