Cats! DDH West Coast PIls is the second of two collaboration beers with Monkish that will be released during LA Beer Week.
“Cats!” is a reference to Monkish and HPB’s mutual love of cats and cat-related themes! Using our Timbo base recipe, we brainstormed fun and interesting hopping ideas with the Monkish crew. We decided on trying out YCH’s Citra Dynaboost and Hyperboost to bump up hop intensity in a West Coast Pils, and using Zumo, a new hop from Segal Ranch. Double Dry hopped at 4.4 lbs per barrel, this beer is poppin’!

Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8
Pours a lightly hazy, pale gold, with smallish head. Aroma is a bit muted, with grass/straw, some bread, a touch of citrus. Flavors follow. Clean, crisp mouthfeel.
