Its predecessor, DIAMOND UNICORN, marked the beginning of the SPARKLE SERIES leaving big hooves to fill for SAPPHIRE UNICORN American Double India Pale Ale. However, once we cracked into SAPPHIRE UNICORN's all-new hop blend of Columbus, Ella, Citra Incognito, Citra Lupomax Pellets, and Sabro, it was clear to us we had created a whole new mystical beast.

Glorious deep gold, extra hazy, and topped off with a beautiful white head, SAPPHIRE UNICORN carries on the magic of DIAMOND UNICORN. Aromas of coconut, rum tiki cocktails, papaya, and a subtle splash of grapefruit tempt you into sweet tropical flavors accompanied by a woodsy hop character and a moderate-high bitterness to finish.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: orange hazy color with a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some pineapple to citrusy hops and some floral hops in the middle with a light danky/piney hop undertone to it, subtle malts
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine semi-juicy to slightly earthy to danky quality; finishes the same way
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; some smoothness and nice low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: I'd be willing to come back to this.

Cloudy orange body, medium off-white head. Nose dank, spicy, and catty, in addition to pineapple. Interesting body, floral and spicy, with spruce and stone fruits, not particularly juicy, but creamy and full. Distinctive and delicious.
