(On draught at Brydenβs, Toronto, June 2012) Pours a clear golden amber with a substantial white head that faded quickly but left lacing. Aroma of grapefruit zest, pit fruit, grass, a relatively light biscuity pale malt note. Flavour leads with citrus rind, slight juiciness, green grassy hops with very faint pine, caramel malt is very restrained. Limited sweetness, astringent early with dry and quite strongly bitter hops on the finish. Smooth, big hop character but still relatively delicate with the limited contribution from malt and lack of resiny notes. Medium-bodied, somewhat high on carbonation, but easy-drinking and very flavourful with good balance. A tasty thirst-quencher of an IPA.

A clear golden IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light floral hops, not bad. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with good citrusy hops, menthol notes, grassy and smooth.Cask at Ontario Cask IPA Challenge, April 21, 2012.
