Draft at the brewpub. Murky opaque deep brown-black body, thin beige head. Meaty, roasty, smoky nose. Lots of chocolate and smoked malt in the body; dense, sweet, and smoky. Vinous with prickly, sharp carbonation. Chewy and tasty. The pepper lends a subtle heat. Quite good.
