Pub Brew. Rhu-Caliente is a hazy pale yellow Belgian India White Ale with aromas of sweet lemon, bright grapefruit, subtle nutmeg, and hints of pine. Caliente hops and Belgian yeast create a fruit filled sensation, that’s enhanced further by the addition of tart rhubarb. The finish turns abruptly toward an intense spicy bitterness that hits the palate and leaves a lasting dryness.

Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Hazy (cloudy) yellow-orange body, medium to thick dense off-white head. Sweet, fruity nose with coriander, light fruits, and wet grass. Weird body, herbal and sharp with coriander and presumably rhubarb; caky, perfumy, and floral, also with some catty, spicy hops. Over the duration of the pour, the hops take precedence. Quite good.
