Draft at The Filling Station, Traverse City. Hazy straw body, thin clumping off-white head. Sweet nose with white grape, pear, and green apple skin, estery/phenolic, with a tad of white pepper in addition to clove and banana. Tripelesque. Clove features more prominently in the body, with banana, residual sugars, and light fruit juice (especially white grape), finishing with cloves. Hints of bubblegum appear with warmth. Nice full, biscuity malts but dry. The finish is a bit astringent/rough, and there are hints of rubbing alcohol. Promising.
