Draft at the brewpub. Deep orange-red-brown body, medium cream/tan head. Toasty nose with toffee and licorice in addition to hints of smoke; fairly dry. Smoky, toasty body with brown sugar, leather, and notes of cocoa and coffee. A heavy, layered maibock that lacks nuance.
