Keg at the brewery, 5/20/25. Nitro. Black, medium tan head, average retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, oats, earth, sweet chocolate syrup in the finish. Too sweet.

On tap at the brewery. Deep opaque brown/black body, thick tan nitro head. Nose of brown sugar and roasted coffee, fairly light. Another unique flavor profile, just like their bock- this time, a burnt brown sugar and lactic sweetness hits the palate, backed by dry cocoa and roasted coffee, the latter providing a long, bitter finish. Full-bodied with good complexity. A touch prickly and a bit intense for an oatmeal stout.
