On tap at New Holland. Deep opaque brown-black body, medium cream head. Strong black malt aroma, roast, coffee and baker’s chocolate. Lots of black malt bitterness in the flavor, a touch charred, with toast, a touch of plum, baker’s chocolate, licorice, and some piney/earthy hops in the finish. Somewhat leathery/salty with soy flavors. Too much emphasis on black malts and soy for my tastes, but it was still a decent sipper.
