The ghost pepper remains one of the world’s hottest peppers, but Palmetto’s decided to tame it! We take a few of these bright-red beauties, add them to one of the most balanced pale ales we’ve ever brewed, and temper the heat with just a touch of sweet cherry. Don’t be afraid – the resulting beer is a beautiful balance between sweet and heat that you’ll find both refreshing and alluringly complex. It’s not too hot to leave you in tears, but it’s hot enough to keep things interesting! Come on. Take a ride on the (just slightly) hotter side.

Pours hazy dark golden color with white head. Light citrus aroma with some peppers and caramel. Similar flavors with a hefty dose of pepper heat in the back of the throat. Medium body with average carbonation. Much more drinkable than the old school pepper lagers but not something I would want to drink frequently or in mass quantities.

Bottle at Salud courtesy of staff, thanks! Clear golden amber color, white head. Aroma of pepper flesh. Taste has decent pepper heat. Cherries are in the background. Decent.
