Derivation is our series of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts in which we brew several recipes, age them in a variety of barrels and blend them before bottling to add depth and structure to this massive style of beer. Blend #20 is a thoughtful blend of select Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts which were aged for 17 to 23 months before being infused with Meadowfoam Honey, Toasted Almonds and Vanilla Beans.

Smooth, slightly roasty and heavy with barrel, some chocolate sauce, hints of vanilla, honey, faint nuttiness. Quite balanced slow sipper. Tasty.

Bottle @ Cafe Albert. Pours pitch black no head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, light honey, vanilla. Flavor is light sweet, roast malt, caramel, chocolate, honey, light vanilla, wood, bourbon. Full body, soft carbonatio, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 081125

Aromaw: Dark fruits with bourbon and vanilla.
Flavour: Fruity sweet with vanilla and cocoa notes. Aftertaste is sweet. Mouthfeel is warm and oily.
Colour: Black with a fading head.

Bottle @ Café Albert. Black with a tiny head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, heavy vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet. Very sweet finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 081125
