Running Porter is a beer designed to pair with British territorial cheeses. It's a 5.6% ABV porter, brewed with a blend of Maris Otter, brown, black, chocolate, crystal, and flaked barley malts, and hopped with East Kent Goldings and Bramling Cross. The beer is inspired by the historical "running" beers of the 18th and 19th centuries, which were meant to be enjoyed fresh, unlike "keeping" beers that were aged. This freshness makes it a great match for young, crumbly territorial cheeses.

Bottle. Beer Stop Dronfield. Nearly black. Stunning beige Kernel swede. Easy 10. Medium roast coffee bean. Ash. Dark stewed fruit. Touch of fruit cake mix. Taste is earthy ashy dry and bitter. Lovely fullness on the palate staying dry bitter and porter-ish. Lingering bitter finish. Stunner.

Cask a kernel taproom bermondsey. A dark mahogany brown black coloured pour with a lasting khaki head. Aroma is earthy wood, bark, liquorice, light caramel. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded woody bark, caramel, dark roast, rounded roast barley. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, mellow cask condition. Nice robust Porter. Some lingering resin.

Cask at The Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London. An almost black coloured pour with a decent sized beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee, smoke taste and aroma. It's decent as expected but served too warm on cask here which surprised me.
