Easygoing porter, notable mostly for the salty charred notes in the fade. Subdued hints of cocoa, caramel, and red fruits lead to a mild, dry middle before the finish turns roasty with a modest espresso bitterness. Medium-light body seems thin for the style, but the burnt chocolate nose is nice. Decent but forgettable.

Smoke, coffee and caramel. Dark brown pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Smokey like the Bandit. Tap at Snally.

Draft at Salud Cerveceria. Dark clear brown color tan head. Aroma of earthy espresso grounds. Taste is toasted brown bread dipped in coffee. Very nice.

Sample at the taproom. Brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chcolate. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, caramel malt and cocoa. The finish is roasty with a lingering coffee and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
