Dark blond body. Frothy off-white head. Strong aroma of hops, mainly bitter ones. Moderately bitter flavour.

hazy amber colour, large, though not too dense and stable yellowish head; aroma of pine resin, orange zest, tropical fruits, slight peach, maybe strawberry, too, as well as caramel notes; taste is basically the same with well balanced hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness; I like it!

Clear copper-amber color,good cloudy off-white head. Aroma has caramel, strawberries and "dry hop cones". Light-bodied. Caramel, bitterness, strawberries, some yeastyness, bready notes. Hüll Melon is probably giving evident strawberry aroma and flavour. Kind of meh anyhow,

Helder donkergeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fris fruitig zuur met iets van zwarte thee en ananas. Goed bier, echt typisch IPA, smaak valt helaas snel weg.

Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is grapefruit grassy, bready, a bit spicy. Taste is bready, grassy, bitter. Very bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Solid.

Hazy orange beer, white head. Bready, bitter hop, orange peel smell. taste has the same qualities. It’s quite dry. Slightly citric and grassy. it’s not necessarily one that I’d rush back for but it’s nice.

One of the new additions to BBP’s fixed range, which is brewed at Anders and more widely available; this bottle, for instance, comes from a local Delhaize supermarket. Developed from a series of variants on a light, modern pale ale theme, of which this one was selected as the best recipe. Fairly thick and moussy, more or less regular, lightly lacing, stable, egg-white head, deep peach to even lightly orange blonde robe, misty due to a diffuse haze of minuscule yeast bits spread throughout; I frankly expected something deeper reddish (amber), considering the pun in the name and the fact that not only Munich, but even Vienna malts were used. Aroma of moldy mandarins, (stale) lime juice, bread crumbs, nectarine, dried mango, sweetclover and other field flowers, sweet shallot, paprika powder, gooseberry, faint hints of fried egg, rainwater, banana peel and turnip. Vividly fruity onset, with some Belgian estery traits of gooseberry, red apple and peach, as well as an exotic passion fruit presence from the hops and a soft lime-like sourishness, all mixed well into a soft sweet-and-sour whole with the latter prevailing over the first; spritzy carbonation, a bit overcarbonated even, bringing minerally side flavors and numbing the tongue a bit, at least initially, but the mouthfeel remains pleasant, supple and rounded, but indeed light, as is to be expected from any beer below 5% ABV. Bready and lightly biscuity malt middle with grainy edges but very modest in the toasted or caramelly aspect I was expecting; meanwhile the sourish lime accent and some traces of the estery fruitiness persist, on their way to a dryingly bitter finish, laying a resinous layer of grapefruity hops on the back of the mouth, lasting quite long, penetrated by both the fruitiness and also a noteworthy breadiness of the yeast, which was all around visibly - so this comes as no surprise. Basically a very typical ’Belgian IPA’ (I maintain that this hybrid style needs recognition as something separate), so hovering between Belgian yeasty and internationally hoppy, but at ’session’ level; I personally can appreciate the breadiness of it and this is, all things considered, a beer packed with flavor for carrying only 4.7%, with lots of both ’Belgian’ and exotic fruitiness and a nice bitter ending.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A golden amber colour with a billowing cream head; tropical fruit aroma, with a hint of Belgian yeast; quite lively in the mouth with lots of tropical fruit at first; then becoming drier, before a long bitter orange finish over a grainy body. Rather good.

Good yellow-cream head over fully hazy orange-golden beer. Bit dusty, and very flowery/citrussy hops. Bit soapy flavour, again flowery, citrus, diluted fruitjuice. Soapiness also apparent in the MF, creamy, light body. Not bad... but it is a tad soapy. Thanks, Louis!
