Wandering in from the storied Seven Hills of Cincinnati and traveling through the wilds of Northern New Jersey comes the monstrously malty sweet Big Red Eye, a collaboration Pastry Stout that draws inspiration from New Jersey's Crumb Cake expertise and made alongside our friends at Wandering Monsters in Cincinnati, Ohio. While the cryptid Big Red Eye, a sasquatch hailing from North Jersey, may not be as sweet and delicious as this pastry stout, this collaboration beer certainly shares some characteristics to the hulking frame of our NJ cryptid due to it coming in at 11.2% abv. This stout is crammed full of smooth malt elegance, dark chocolate swirled with hints of roasted coffee beans, with a decadent addition of vibrant cinnamon, delicious brown sugar, and velvety vanilla. Like its namesake, this pastry stout is rare and elusive, but those that are able to encounter it will never forget the experience, so enjoy it while Big Red Eye is still lurking in our taprooms before disappearing back into the wild dark

Draft at Red Bank. Number one with a bullet. Opaque dark brown pour. Brief tan head dissipates to a creamy ring. Roasted malt aroma hints at cocoa and cinnamon. Bittersweet chocolate flavor upfront. Notes of coffee and cinnamon are overpowered by the intense bitterness of this brew.
