While dropping off CSA boxes our friends over at Featherstone Farms asked us if we wanted a bunch of fresh watermelon so naturally we said You Betcha! We then brewed a classic Gose adding fresh watermelon towards the end of fermentation allowing for a secondary field fresh fermentation to take hold resulting in a mildly tart wheat-forward ale with a crisp watermelon flavor with a touch of salt.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has candied tart watermelon with sweet wheat backing. Flavor has a candied watermelon with earthy wheat and a bit of Flora.
