Old rating - A 330ml bottle from Love Wine in Jersey. ABV 11.8. Pours a flat black colour with a tiny beige head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, cinnamon & peppery spice. Medium Body. Zero carbonation. The high alcohol is present throughout. Didn't enjoy this one bit, surprising as I'm a big fan of Tempest. A flat alcoholic imperial stout with lots of pepper.

On tap @ Beer Week in Budapest, Saturday session. Pours jet black with thin beige head. The sweet boozy and vanilla notes blend very nice with the spice that the chilli brings in. I even thought that I sensed some tequila in there, but I might have been simply overwhelmed the Mexican feeling. Amazing beer nonetheless, with its heavy, creamy body and soft carbo.

Bottiglia. Un arco olfattivo dominato da cioccolato e vaniglia. La finezza olfattiva è molto elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è lunga. Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, agrumi, vaniglia e peperoncino invadente.

Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is roasted malt with cinnamon, strong vanilla, cocoa, caramel, light chili, dark chocolate, notes of coffee, molasses, and some alcohol. Flavour is sweet with some mild chili heat and a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is medium is full. Nice cocoa and chocolate aroma with spicy cinnamon and mild chilies, pretty tasty.

Tap @ Uba Ja Humal, Tallinn. It is black with a thin beige foam. Sweet, roasted malt, banana and cinnamon. Flavor is pretty sweet and light spicy.

Bouteilles 33 centilitres, robe très sombre et épaisse, un peu rougeâtre façon vin rouge, très peu de carbonatation, en bouche, c'est très intense, sucré, parfumé, les notes de piment sont bien présentes en fin de bouche. C'est très réussi même si ça peut vite devenir écœurant, comme un gâteau quoi !
