A lot of beers with coffee tend to be stouts. It makes perfect sense, roasted barley and coffee beans share similar flavor profiles. Which is great, if you take your coffee black. For those of you that don’t, we’ve crafted Cream & Sugar ( Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee and Cream ale) to explore other realms of flavors for coffee and beer.
Immediately you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous aroma of Sumatra coffee and subtle notes of toffee and oak. Flavor wise, the Sumatra is less dominant as it blends into the layers of complexity that Cream & Sugar has to offer. Prominent flavors of vanilla and caramel soft chew candy, followed closely by toasted oak, bourbon, and fresh baked bread. Milk Sugar (lactose) and sumatra coffee seamlessly flows throughout, adding just the right touch here and something a little extra special there. All of this sits within an utterly divine, silky smooth mouthfeel.
