Tap at Schwarzer Kater in Freiburg. Pretty, glowing deep golden to orange color. Malty, bready nose, rather plain. Bland malt flavor, light spicy hops. Nothing wrong, just pretty boring.

Donkergeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht zoet met een vleugje ananas. Best wel een goed biertje.

330 ml bottle. Clear orange colour, fluffy head, not long lasting. Malt, bread, hay. Sweet, light malty. Not balanced. Soft carbonated, medium body. Too sweet for a Zwickel.

Bottle from MichaelAwesome - thank you! Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with touches of hops. Sweetish, malty and estery flavour with bitter, hoppy notes. Mild, estery aftertaste. Medium carbonation, but the body is rather thin. A good thirst quencher but rather anonymous.

Tasting at Mr Smith’s Skyflat. Thanks to Mr Frog for this one. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Light malts, not that sweet, A nutty floral mid. Forensic trace of citric hop. Very mild spice. Light dry finish. Clean and drinkable.

Bottle shared in. London - big thanks to Fergus. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds dry pale bread, light cereal and paper, a little citrus. Light sweet flavor with a bit of paper, more pale bread, hay, cereal, apple. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some biscuits, cereal, hay. So so.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear copper with a small white head. The nose is toasty, grainy, burnt butterscotch, cereal, nut and earth. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, cereal, toasted grain, touch of butterscotch, grassy, straw and light caramel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Doesn’t tick my boxes that’s for sure. Basic.
