Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Fergus, 07/01/16. Golden with a decent off white covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is bready malt, lemon drizzle, straw, hint of tobacco. Taste comprises bread dough, lemon rind, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Half-litre flip-top bottle: BBD May 2014, opened in a mates holiday villa in the South of France on 17 Sep 2013, poured into a UK pint sleeve. Golden, clear and bright with a large white foaming head, expected a misty ’landbier’ like you usually get. Soft in the mouth, smooth and semi-sweet, not too bitter or hop laden: malt notes ruled throughout the tasting. Nice brew and I wish I’d bought more to take down with me from Bad Krozingen.

Bottle from Rewe, Wiesloch
Blond color.
I was expecting maybe another lame beer, instead it reveals a very nice aroma, at least much better than the average bottled beer, with crispy malt and hops; some cereals too. Then, let’s go back to Earth: it has a dry mouthfeel, with a quite simple flavor of cereals, straws; correct bitterness, but without hop qualities. Not bad.

Bottle from Le Jardin de Bière, St Just Luzac, France. Amber in colour with a tight white head. Malty aroma of caramel and summer fruits. Flavour was sweet also, with a yeasty character and decent, bitter finish. Enjoyable.
