An amber ale hopped with Dragon and First Gold. Bright, fruity hop aromas over a well-balanced malt base. Brewed to celebrate 50 years since the release of Jaws.

11/7/2026. Bottle at the ITFC England WCQF beer share. From Hop Beer Shop, Chelmsford. Pours fine. Aroma is very buttery, sweet malts, caramel, stewed fruits, touch metallic. Quite sweet, with some subtle but biting bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Quite likeable.

Cask at Bird In Hand, Stafford. Pours a slightly hazy “bitter brown” with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s malts and mixed hops in the aroma alongside yeast and summer fruits. In the mouth there is a flirting taste of sweetness before it is swept away by traditional hoppy bitterness. Flavour is quite fruity with apples and lemon marmalade, plus hints of nuts and oranges later. Sweetness returns to a certain extent in the dry finish. This is quite decent – best beer of the day.
