The smallest member of the British Bitter family, drinkability is crucial in this sessionable pub ale. Baronesse English Pale malt from LINC forms the base of this moderately malty amber beer, while East Kent Goldings and Fuggle hops lend an assertive bitterness and earthy floral notes reminiscent of Earl Grey. Biscuity and slightly toasty, with a touch of caramel, a refreshing herbaceous hoppiness, and a dry bitter finish.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a clear bronze with a small white head. Aroma is very English, with English malt and light fungal notes. Flavour is clean, with English bready malt and very subdued English hops. Better than flat and on cask but nothing special. Meh.
