Picture a brunch mimosa with peach and mango juices and you'll be in the right headspace for a Longboat Hazy Session IPA. Originally a pale ale we've overhauled the malt bill but kept the same hop blend for a bigger, yet even more sessionable, version of a fan favourite here at SITW.

What You’ll Love About It

Its predecessor - Longboat Pale Ale - was produced with two members of the 2022 Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argos, and since then you'll find it everywhere you find an Argos fan. For 2025 we’ve gone one step further - boosting the body and hop character to IPA levels, making this a truly sessionable IPA for any day, not just game day.

How It's Made

While Pilsner is the base malt, it represents less than 45% of the malt bill of this oats & wheat heavy ale. We mash it high to keep sweetness and body at a sessionable 4.9%. Citra & Hallertau Blanc split the low-temp whirlpool, and we dry hop it robustly with the same hops.

Why Is It Called Longboat?

Longboat is a long-standing nickname for the Toronto Argos, and given our aquatic naming was a quick decision back in 2022. We made it with former Argo Dariusz Bladek, who challenged us to make a beer for Liberty Village’s CFL team.
