An unapologetically barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout, Stave New World is exactly what every barrel program should have; a really good Imperial Stout, with no adjunct, no candy, just a wealth of complex flavors intermingling and elevated by the singular act of a long rest in a high-quality bourbon barrel. Complex notes change and meld as Stave New World warms up in the glass, saturating the palate with flavors of fudge, red currants, vanilla, bourbon spice, caramel chews, tobacco, and fruit leather. We know the pastry beers are supposed to be talked up and bragged about like they are your favorite child, but the entire production team has been in agreement; Stave New World is the crown jewel of our barrel-aged beers, and we're hoping this isn't the only time it graces our gullets.
