The base for this kriek was an unblended sour ale, made from lambic-like wort fermented with commercial lambic cultures. After fermentation this beer has macerated on 400 gram per liter sour cherries (Morellen from de Betuwe, NL) for quite a while. The fresh vanilla was added a few days before bottling.

Opens with a bang, pours some over the table, it probably needed some air, aroma isn’t that fresh, kriek, taste is nice, not over extreem sour, balanced, tasty, lots of kriek. Tx Erwin N.
