500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy yellow, some floaters, thin white head. Aromas of light lemon and wheat. Taste is light sweet lemon. Light bitter finish. Bit thin, but not bad.

Landbier from the well-known Altbier brewery, unusual in being top-fermented, like their Altbiere but unlike typical Landbiere. Thick, rocky, stable, sticky, cream white head, colour deep golden blonde, misty. Aroma of pale malts with vague hints of dried citrus peel and unripe peach, chamomille-like hops. Taste rounded maltiness, relatively full, light yeastiness, subtle sweetness evolving into a medium long, hoppy bitterness, also a chalk-like accent. I am not very familiar with the Landbier style but this is quite an enjoyable brew.

Half-litre flip-top bottle: BBD 10 Dec 13, poured twice into an old Bolten Alt glass tankard on 2 Nov 13. Murky golden orange body with a full white head on both pours. The aroma was yeasty, with a slightly apple feel: the taste followed suit with a dry finish. I really wanted to enjoy this, sadly it didn’t match my expectations. Thin body wise and lacking flavour, it was refreshing enough but I wanted something with more depth, character and power. OK, but I was disappointed as I love the brewery and want it to prosper.

From the barrel at Zeitgeist @ The Jolly Gardeners, Lambeth 16/5/08. Murky pale gold in colour with a decent, frothy white head. Aroma of herbs, sour apples and grassy hops. Flavour was slightly bitter, with barnyard yeast, wheat and a bitter, slightly acidic finish. A bit hard to categorise, but drinkable.

Bottled. An unclear golden-amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of fruit and some notes of vitamins. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of straw and medium notes of malt, leading to a dry bitter finish where the straw note lingers around.

Bottle, 4.9%. Citric aroma with OK rough hoppiness. Cloudy orange/grey colour. Big, stable, creamy, tan head. The flavour has a very faint hint of fine hop aroma. Apart from that, the hops are rather rough and uncompromising. OK, but cheap-tasting hops. The yeast gives a nice mouthfeel. Gets a little chunky at the bottom.
