Süffig und sehr spritzig mit einer dezenten Nussigkeit gepaart mit Getreide- und Gräseraromen und einer ausgewogenen Malz-Hopfen-Note.

bottle, Danke pivnizub! Cloudy pale yellow with a large and creamy head, very persistent. Full-bodied, very pleasant mouthfeel. Hoppy and aromatic, solid malty background. Lovely!

On tap at Bruxellensis. Cloudy pale gold colour with lasting white head. Pretty good, nice character. Nice light lager, being unfiltered gives it character.

Hopfiger Geruch. Sicherlich kein herrausragendes Bier. Test vom 14.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,8,9,10,9 - 8,85

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a short and creamy, slightly off-white layer. Yeasty, slightly sweet grainy, also a bit wheaty aroma with delicate citrousy hops and light notes of barnyard. Moderately sweet, light bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Yeasty, malty taste, again slightly wheaty with a faint fruity note; dryish malty and yeasty bitter finish. Well-quaffable top-fermented brew.
This brew reminds me of descriptions of Keutebier, a top-fermented style, originated from the Lower Rhine area, that was very popular between the 15th and 19th century. It was one of the earliest beers brewed with hops (instead of herbs, Grutbier for example) and contained besides barley- also amounts of wheat- and spelt-malt. Keutebier can be seen as a predecessor of Kölner Wiess and Kölsch.

Swing-top bottle (diky, MoritzF): Hazy, golden coloured, lacing fluffy white head; wheat, yeast, citrousy hops in the aroma; soft MF, light bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; sweetish-grainy finish with a fruity, citrousy touch. A well crafted beer of an unknown style.......
