SOPP, Turku. Bottle. A black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has liquorice, dried fruits and also fresh fruits, spicyness. Taste has salt liquorice, spicyness, fruitness, nice sweetness. Medium+ bodied, smooth. Interesting, the belgian yeast gives an extra boost to this beer. Very good.

Bottle sample at SOPP Helsinki 2017 courtesy of staff, thanks! Dark brown color tan head. Aroma of fruity coffee and light funk. Taste is coffee with an edge of tartness, subtle enough for this one to work well. Westmalle yeast.

Draught @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of licorice, rye, roasty malts, loads of licorice, coffee and ripe fruits. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some cocoa, coffee, chocolate and ripe fruits, hints of Belgian yeastiness. Finish is sweetish, slightly yeasty and earthy with some roastiness, chocolate, coffee, warming alcohol, hints of berries and syrup. Interesting, quite untypical.
