A classic Belgian Dubbel with a holiday twist subtly spiced with Santa's secret spice blend. A complex yet clean malt character with pronounced notes of raisins, semi-sweet chocolate, dates, and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon.

Can to chalice.
Appearance: dark brown to mahogany color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some mild lace.
Aroma: sweet caramel/toffee tones, mild earthiness, dark fruits, cinnamon, chocolate and some grassiness
Flavor: seemed to blend the prior noted aromas sweetly with a touch of spice, no aftertaste
Texture: between light and medium bodied, of the sipper quality, some woody spice harshness on the tongue, finishes semi-smooth
Overall: not really a Belgian Dubbel, I missed any Belgian spices and/or yeasty characters. Was there too much of the cinnamon in this? Hmmm, hard to say. Try again, Bolton Landing.

Dark brown colour and small beige head. Medicinal nose, some spices. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Flavour is medicinal, licorice, herbs. Homebrewish vibe.
