We had the absolute honour and pleasure of welcoming Brooklyn’s finest, @otherhalfnyc, to the Palace of Arts for a two-part collaboration series in celebration of our 25th anniversary.

Introducing Part 1:

718 | 4.5% Cask Pale

With Wylam’s roots firmly planted in cask heritage, we wanted to fuse classic tradition with a bold New York twist - crafting a Hip-Hop-forward cask pale that’s both well-balanced and bursting with flavour.

718 brings a soft, luscious mouthfeel thanks to a grist built on Simpsons low-colour base malt with generous helpings of oats and wheat. On the hot side, whole cone El Dorado and Nelson Sauvin Spectrum deliver a lingering, satisfying bitterness that pulls you right back in. A no-holds-barred dry hop of El Dorado and Strata, layering in big hits of pineapple, stone fruit, and citrus - flavours that move to the rhythm of two cities.

Clear and golden with a frothy white head and a hop soup aroma, with some pine going on I’d say. Soft and smooth, somewhat grassy with dank hop bitterness, some fruity notes and a dry finish with a tart citrus aftertaste.
