The very first Masterworks member bottle we released was Away From The Mire, a blend of Missed Your Plane barrel aged Imperial Stout and It's A Hard Knock Life barrel aged English Barleywine. This year's welcome bottle draws inspiration from that release, with a blend of this year's double barrel Missed Your Plane and an as yet unreleased batch of double barrel It's A Hard Knock Life. This time rested on a small amount of Amburana wood to enhance the cinnamon notes from the extended aging

Bottle shared by my friend Brad, condemned to travel from WI to SC several times a year for work. 3/28/25. Dark brown, no head. Aroma of roast, oak, whisky, chocolate. Taste is roast, caramel, vanilla, cherry, oak, booze.
