Islay Whisky Barrel-Aged Extra Extra Extra Vanilla Birthday Stout
Future – Dugges Barrel Aging

A coconut, muscovado sugar, coffee, cacao, licorice, vanilla, tonka bean, cinnamon, and cardamom stout. Aged in peaty Islay whisky barrels and then spiced up with extra extra extra amounts of vanilla. What could go wrong? To Dugges!

We've come a long way. On April 24, 2005, Mikael Dugge Engström brewed the first-ever batch of Dugges beer. We were a one-man show with a makeshift kit at the far end of a forgotten industrial estate.

Last year, for our 18th birthday, we brewed. 9+9=Stout! A 9% and 9 adjuncts stout. It was lovely! Come we celebrated and had a big Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! For us.

We also put some of that beer in whisky barrels. And, this is… this is…. Well, it's a happy birthday to us, and again, that's for sure. Also, it's complex. And big. And bold. It's everything Dugges, in a beer. 19… man. Time flies. Skål!

CBHWS2025. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, some roasted and tonka bean tones with some alcohol sweetness and also a bit coffee and coconut. Flavour is similar, and actually rather jampacked with things. Alcohol makes it a bit too much on the sweet side for me.
