William Dabinett discovered this bittersweet apple on his property in Somerset County, England, mid-19th century. Propagated and eventually planted in our own Somerset Orchards, circa 2015, Dabinett offers lively funk on the nose. Notes of gooseberry, clover, bartlett pear, and umami. Delicately dry with a gentle touch of sweetness to finish.

750mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a lot of farmhouse funk, crisp apple skins, some apple core, and toffee. Flavour is quite funky, with lots of barnyard funk, apple core, a touch of toffee, and some tart apple skins. Funky, fairly dry, and bright. This is great.
