An American-style IPA brewed with 100% Irish malt. Pine and citrusy grapefruit are balanced by a full, malt backbone. Very pale with a slight hop haze from high levels of dry hopping. Fruity aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit and orange. The flavour is equally fruity, with a soft mouthfeel and a balanced finish.

(Bottle, 0.33, from Viking XPRS, 20150926) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had herbalness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, fruitiness, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A rather tasty hoppy pale but bit too sweet and also too herbal.

On tap at The Black Sheep, pours an opaque orange with a small off-white head. Nose brings out lots of piney and resinous hops. Flavour brings out resinous hops and caramel malt to back. Quite sweet from the malt, but the resinous hops are still quite dominant. Solid IPA.

330ml bottle at home. Based on other beers from this brewer, the expectations were high. Pours a lovely bright effervescent copper with medium to small white head that dissipates quickly, good start. Big juicy aroma of grapefruit, spruce, some slight lemon zest, but also a brown bread-like malt backbone, definitely into this now. Flavour is right up there with my favourite IPA’s, not a let down from the aroma, big juicy grapefruit and pine/spruce but very well balanced with the bready malts. Finish is long and bitter, definite more-ish quality, I cant quite seem to put it down for too long.
