Pretty nice colour on this one. Taste and smell are quite regular/decent/average, mouthfeel was dissapointing though. Don’t like corriander in beer a lot.

Bottle. A clear, fizzy, dark golden beer topped by a dense, off-white colored head. Bready malts and lemon on the nose. The flavor is sweet, bready and citrusy, some bitterness shows up. Rather metallic finish with bread. Medium body, pleasant carbonation level. A strange one, like a weird mix of a generic dubbel and an altbier. Strange, but not bad. 100327

Medium amber-tinted head over deep amber-copper beer. Sweet malts & molasses, smelling like Brussels’ waffles, and leafy. Smells more like a (sweet) Bock than as an Alt. Bitterish-leafy taste, much better balanced than the nose, very little sweetness left. Faintly roasted & metallicfinish, but epithomizes leafiness as flavour. Then, warming up, it acquires a coriander flavour... Medium bodied, quite slick; finish is a bit watery (as well as metallic). Very peculiar Alt. But I confess as to liking the flavourprofile. Until it warmed up. Now, for a real Düsseldorfer...

30 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange to amber with a huge off-white head. Fruity and mild teaish hoppy aroma. Fruity flavoured with a mild malty base. Yet dominant teaish hoppy. Light citric touch and mild bitter finish.

On tap at De Deugniet Café, Amsterdam.
Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, pleasant fruity nose. A way too sweet malty, faint fruity and metallic taste, hard to get any hops here. Moderate bitter finish. Big failure...or I’m wrong???
