This beer pours into the glass with a giant mocha head which sticks around, and laces beautifully in your glass, a snifter this time. This is a big beer. The nose hits you with coffee, roasted barley, dark chocolate, and vanilla with some faint hints of alcohol as it warms up. This beer will warm YOU up. Flavors out of the glass are a mouthful; dark roast Speedwell coffee, dark brown sugar, dark chocolate and vanilla. The beer has a medium to full body with a lighter carbonation to suit the lingering flavors…and they do linger. This is a big dark beer for the season to be enjoyed fireside.
