Extremely Limited Release Apple Brandy Aged Cider
This experimental cider combines two of Willie Smith’s favourite pastimes, transforming apples into cider and also into Apple Brandy.
For vintage 2022 our cider-makers were inspired to transform a heritage apple cider by ageing it in our own 200L Apple Brandy barrels.
From a six-month slumber emerges a rich cider which is larger-than-life.
Are two apples too much? We think not.
This is an incredibly small run of Apple Brandy Aged Cider.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 14/12/2025.
Clear amber with a fast escaping white head.
Nose is apple skins, vinous, booze tunes, brandy nip, tangy fruit esters.
Taste comprises bitter apples, mellow brandy nip, tannins, herb, vinous, earthy apple skin, orchard floor.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a kick of booze.
Big and punchy, fun enough, if a little on the raw side.

25/8/2025. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Super pour. Aroma is rich apple, brandy snap biscuit, funky, woody, caramel, vanilla. Full bodied and smooth. Dry, tannic, bittersweet finish. Very good.

750ml wired cork bottle from Willie Smiths. Opened with a pop. My Australian rating #500. Deep orange amber colour, short-lived off-white foam head and aroma of apple, barrel notes, wood, booze. Taste is tangy, tart, appley, dried fruit, boozy brandy, with wood barrel and drying tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry woody boozy earthy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
