Dominus Double is a refreshing abbey beer with a long-lasting flavour, leaving a well-balanced bitter aftertaste with a spicy touch. Roasted and quite hoppy, the aromas develop elegantly with hints of old, slightly dry wood. It has a crystalline colour, dark red with caramel highlights. The head is thick and creamy.

Dominus Double is ideal for accompanying smoked game or moist dark chocolate desserts.

Shared 750 ml corked & caged bottle, as Dominus Double Brune, at local tasting. Dark brown to ruby colour, large off-white head. Strong malty and sugary aroma, notes of brown kandij sugar and caramel, hints of mild spices. Sweet and sugary flavour too, more brown sugar than caramel. Minimal hops. Hints of acetone / glue. Not my favourite double - definitely not trappist quality.

Bottled 330ml. -at Restavracija Eksperiment Ljubljana. Dark brown coloured, small off-white head, caramel and dried fruits in the nose. Almost the same in the taste; dried fruits, caramel, discreet alcohol and notes of spices in rather dry finish.
