Half-pint, well kept cask ale at Barrel Vault (JDW). A deep golden body under a tiny white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of citrus, hints of lemony hops, promising. Hop fruity flavours, impacts of lemon and orange, balanced by a subdued note of caramel malts. Pretty nice bittersweet finish. Pleasing. (St Pancras, London 03.03.2026).

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2025. A clear dull gold orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is soft citrus, grassy hop, orange rind, melon, biscuity grains, light toffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, lemon rind, grass, hedgerow hop, herbal notes. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, decent cask condition. Decent enough.

Gravity cask at the 28th St Albans Beer Festival, 26/09/25.
Golden to light amber topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is bitter orange, grass, hint of grapefruit.
Taste comprises melon, orange zest, citric tinged straw, grapefruit.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness.
Tidy cask IPA ... again just wish they'd put out more truer to ABV ... 6%+.
