Inspired by a mutual love of Belgian Trappist Dubbels and strong, dark, mild ales. A base of dark malts and heritage Chevallier fermented with Abbaye yeast for rich warming toffee, raisin and fig flavours, complimented with gentle Belgian esters.

Can (8.4% ABV) from The Beerhive. Hazy deep amber body with a thin beige head that slowly fades. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of cigar, toffee and raisin. Flavour of salted caramel and a slightly boozy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This has a rich, interesting flavour even if it is a bit gnarly and boozy.
