12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/10/2016. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light herbal, and roasted/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of roast/bready malt and coffee/vanilla/lactose notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light herbal, and roasted/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, toasted dark bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and coffee/vanilla/lactose flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Touch of dryness from roast/hop bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent cream stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and coffee/vanilla/lactose flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
