The story behind India Pale Ale: The British army was stationed in India at the time and were drinking dark porters which were going off due to the long trip from England to India. They eventually realised that Hops is a preservative, so they ended up throwing a lot of hops into ales. By the time it got to India the beer was bitter and strong, perfect for the British Army. This beer is hoppy, with stone fruit, citrus flavours, and pine. This beer style is all about aroma and bitterness.

25 May 2025. At Roof of Africa, Windhoek. Cheers to Anke, Frank & Els!

Clear golden, small, white head. Biscuit, apple peel, pear. Sweetish pear, bitter orange peel. Bitter grapefruit & pine into the finish. Good enough.
