Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt eggegult skum. Mer maltig enn humlelukt på denne. Karamell, korn og noe syltetøy. Lett. Karamell, kandis og en lett sitrusig bitterhet i avslutningen.

03.05.2017, 0,5l can @ home:
Big fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, straw colored. Aroma is mild grassy, old lawn, wet hay, minerals, overripe apples, sap, butterscotch. Taste is harsh mineraly, weeds, bark, paper, medicine, old lawn, harsh hops. Medium to longlasting harsh bitterness, very watery and medical mouthfeel. This is pure poison. And the lowlife crap they’ve manged to write on the can makes it even worse. Fraud is the word...

I planned to meet this one with a an open mind. Grans do not have the best reputation in this country. At first I thought ok. I has some citric hoppy notes and well ok. Drinkable. Hmmm then after a while…..cabbage aint it. Yes. The aroma failed completely. Quite ok body for an 4,7% beer and a fine carbonation level. Decent balance between sweetness and bitterness. The flavor was at first decent. But just got worse and worse. Together with an horrible aroma made it a clear disaster. Lots of caramel malty, citric hoppy and cabbage. Had to drink with my nose closed after a while.

Can, batch 3, five months before bbd. Pours clear golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is peaches, stone fruits and orangy citrus notes, as well as malts with cereals and toffee. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter with resin and lemon peel, malty cereals and notes of cabbage and minerals in the finish.

Can. A clear, golden colored beer with a creamy, two-finger white head leaving cute lacing. So far so good... Aromawise it’s not at the same level. It’s not off in any way, but it’s quite interesting to meet a beer where the can spends all the commercial description on aroma hops but has so little of it. Some grass, generic fruityness and a little malty touch. Hints of popcorn. It’s medium bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated, with a subtle bitterness. Fruity, citrusy flavor with pale malts and hints of diacetyl. Fruity, citrusy, metallic and bitter finish. Rather uninteresting, but drinkable when cold. 170322

500ml bottle picked up at Rema 1000, Stokmarknes. Low white head atop, spotty lacing, hazy golden body. Caramel and tobacco nose with a citric touch far behind. Moderate flavour character of ripe citrus and mild malty sweetness. Moments of harsh bitterness towards the ending. Fair enough (Stokmarknes 15.03.2017).

0.5l can. This one pours a more or less crystal clear golden looking body. On the top there's a medium sized slowly fading white mildly lacing top. Smells OK. A soft hoppy hint here, traces of hay and straw. Mild in all ways but still not unpleasant at all. It has a mild oily, yet watery texture in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Tastes thin. There's a nice mild hint of hops here, mild grapefruit bitter. No typical Grans flavor - and that's a huge plus. Ends mild citrussy. A watery tasting one, but it sure does the job! 04.03.2017

Shared aluminium can at RB/HD at Sigmund´s 24.02.17. Clear golden. Off-white head. Aroma of very sweet malt, caramel, honey and flowers. Taste of bitter flowers, malt and citrus. Far from great, but does not contain the usual Grans off-taste. Almost decent aftertaste. Low bitterness.
