Very nice blackish brown pour from a 2$ can. Creamy tan head. Nose is somewhat malted milk! Initially taste is milk stout up front then a small barrage of sweetness comes thru. Not sure if I can pick out the coconut but there is substance of chocolate and vanilla in there. Decent co2. In the middle, now I'm getting the coconut, it has taken a few big swigs to get there. Milk stout alone is enough sweetness for me and these pastry stouts are excessive in their cloying attitude. To make it worse, this one has barely any carbonation for a distractor. Near the end, I've had enough, and the gustatory sensation of honeyed syrupy saccharine nearly makes me gag, but I'll finish it anyhow. There, you have it. Difficult to say the least whew. Glad it has a higher alky content to help me overlook this beer tasting experience on the finish.
