Bavaria's Ayinger are legends in the brewing industry, known for their love and perfection of classic German beer styles. Playing off their background, we came together to create this dark twist on the Bavarian-style wheat beer. This beer features layers of wheat malt flavor and was handled through traditional open fermenters to highlight Ayinger's famous hefeweizen yeast character

Bottle. A- Banana, bubble gum, caramel, clove, fruity esters. A- Reddish brown color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Bubble gum, cloves, banana, caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Very well done. Lots of the typical banana, bubblegum, and fruity notes along with a complimentary caramel flavor. No single flavor overpowers the other and all mesh to create a harmonious beer.

Aroma is moderate rich malt with spike of banana esters that is slightly sharp. Hazy mahogany with tan-orange head that is small and recedes to small bubbles clustered in the ring. Taste leans to be eaters and lacks malt backing. Thin mouthfeel. Moderate carbonic bite.

Bread crust, banana bread nose. Cloudy brown, medium yellow head, little retention. Maple syrup, brown sugar, mild woodiness. Medium body, easy carbonation. Full flavored, nice nuance, but still poundable. Nailed it.

Bottle. Banana, clove, chocolate caramel malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with large cream colored head. Moderately sweet banana, clove, chocolate caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Pretty good but malt flavor is very light.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown with a tall creamy off-white head. Spicy aroma with some banana. The flavor is sweet with banana and clove with a smooth, creamy medium body. Not too bad. One of my favorite summer styles that is hard to run across.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered ruby red-brown body. Steady, creamy, beige head. Yeah, they nail it with this one. Bready brown malt notes, caramel, light chocolate. Yeast notes are awesome, not one-dimensional banana...soft, depthful, pleasant clove touches. Immensely sessionable. Awesome beer.

Bottle from case. Initial whiff alerted me that I was in for something good. Murky brown with huge, pillowy head. Aroma us roast malts, nuts and chocolate. This style is way under represented in the US. Taste completes the whole package, mildly sweet and nutty, subdued bitterness. A real joy.
